DESIGN DISCIPLINES

INTERIOR CONCEPTS
For both newbuildings and conversions. A multi-facetted discipline touching upon passenger flow, onboard spending, signage and passenger navigation, corporate branding, exterior styling and much more. A given project may cover the entire ship, separated decks, specific areas or functions. We cover them all.

SCALABILITY
We have in-depth understanding of our client's business model and an essential part of our design philosophy is scalability. We develop crew-models that are scalable between the demands of high and low season. This also goes for recreational areas - how to keep things interesting even though some sections of the ship may be closed off.

SIGNAGE & GRAPHIC DESIGN
An essential part of ship interiors is the coherence between the overall style of the interiors and the matching signage and graphics. The better the signage, the better the navigation and passenger flow and overall travel experience.

MATERIALS
A challenging discipline in the cross field between delicacy in the design and the durability of the materials - and the limitations within safety regulations. Also a pragmatic discipline, where you're weighing the durability in low-impact areas, e.g. ceilings, and the flexibility in high-impact areas, e.g. carpets and chairs.

CUSTOMISATIONS
Many components in ship interiors are anything but off-the-shelf items. Customisation is key, and we design and tailor solutions in furniture, ceilings, fixtures and appliances, sound and light etc.
